Assistant Teacher/Substitute Bus Driver
Accepting applications for the position of Assistant Teacher at their Head Start in Woodford County. Applicant is required to have a high school diploma or equivalent and it is preferred that the applicant also have a minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA). Applicant will also be required to obtain their COL license so they can serve as substitute bus driver when needed. Those applying should have experience working with preschool age children in a classroom setting. The Head Start Program will pay for initial physical examination including TB skin test for the applicant selected for the position. Applicant can not have been convicted of a sex crime, child abuse or neglect/922KAR 2:110 or any other felony. PRN Support Services Assistant
Accepting applications for PRN Support Services Assistants to provide in-home Respite Services in Lexington, Frankfort, Georgetown, Versailles, Lawrenceburg, Paris, Lancaster, Nicholasville, Stanford, Harrodsburg and Danville. All applicants must have a current Kentucky Driver's license, current automobile insurance and a personal vehicle to use for job duties. Accepting applications for qualified HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing Contractors for an Approved Contractors List. Approved contractors will be responsible for the performance of electrical work, repairs and/or replacement of heating systems, water heaters etc. Work will be conducted on houses and mobile homes in Anderson, Boyle, Franklin, Garrard, Jessamine, Lincoln, Mercer, Scott and Woodford Counties. Services are funded by the Weatherization Assistance Program through the Department of Energy and Kentucky Housing Corporation for eligible applicants at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Each job will bid separately and awarded to the best bid submitted within the five day timeframe. You must be on the BGCAP Approved Contractors List in order to submit a bid. Senior Companion Program-Volunteers
The Senior Companion Program is an opportunity for persons age 55 and older who meet federal income guidelines to render assistance with activities of daily living to older, homebound adults. As Senior Companions, volunteers assist clients for 20 hours per week and receive a tax-free stipend of $2.65 per hour. This income is not reported as income and will not affect entitlement programs such as food stamps. Volunteers receive 40 hours of paid training initially and 4 hours of paid training each month in issues of importance to senior adults. If interested please call 502-848-8715. M/F/H/V, EOE and ETO.
