Woodford County Head Start Cook

Accepting applications for qualified HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing Contractors for an Approved Contractors List. Approved contractors will be responsible for the performance of electrical work, repairs and/or replacement of heating systems, water heaters etc. Work will be conducted on houses and mobile homes in Anderson, Boyle, Franklin, Garrard, Jessamine, Lincoln, Mercer, Scott and Woodford Counties. Services are funded by the Weatherization Assistance Program through the Department of Energy and Kentucky Housing Corporation for eligible applicants at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Each job will bid separately and awarded to the best bid submitted within the five day timeframe. You must be on the BGCAP Approved Contractors List in order to submit a bid. Senior Companion Program-Volunteers
The Senior Companion Program is an opportunity for persons age 55 and older who meet federal income guidelines to render assistance with activities of daily living to older, homebound adults. As Senior Companions, volunteers assist clients for 20 hours per week and receive a tax-free stipend of $2.65 per hour. This income is not reported as income and will not affect entitlement programs such as food stamps. Volunteers receive 40 hours of paid training initially and 4 hours of paid training each month in issues of importance to senior adults. If interested please call 502-848-8715. M/F/H/V, EOE and ETO.
